Who Created ITIL?
ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) was not created by a single individual but was developed collaboratively by the UK Government's Central Computer and Telecommunications Agency (CCTA), which is now part of the UK's Cabinet Office. ITIL was initially introduced in the late 1980s as a collection of books that provided best practices for IT service management (ITSM).
The development of ITIL was driven by the need to improve IT service management processes and align IT services with the business needs of organizations. Over the years, ITIL has gone through several revisions and updates to stay relevant and effective in the fast-changing IT industry.
ITIL has become a widely recognized and adopted framework for IT service management worldwide. It has been utilized by various organizations to enhance their IT service delivery and achieve better alignment between IT and business objectives.
